This week Google launched its video to complement the text ads
Google is jumping video ads in the band. Whereas traditional ads show slower growth, video ads are a hot topic. This week is the first week of Google video ad deployment, so that users can begin to notice those who appear during their searches.
The Wall Street Journal received word from Google on the new development, but since then, Google has been tight-lipped about exactly how it is being implemented. The only detail is Google disclosed that some users see video ads, and these video ads will be devoted in part, based on the searches.
The new initiative is part of Google’s search universal campaign, which combines images, video and other information to its traditional text links. Google wants to offer video as much from the experiences of your search results and ads that accompany them. The goal, which is to give states a “TV-like” experience, which combines moving images and even in the format of a rich experience.
A spokesman for Google said the new announcement will have a small plus sign button on them. When users click on this button, a small video player that will be displayed then plays a commercial film or trailer. The spokesman did not reveal exactly how the little button will be, but said it would be relatively small. For now, advertisers pay the same amount of video as advertising text, however, that may soon change, said Marissa Mayer, vice president of search and user experience of Google.
According to the market research firm ComScore, 20 percent of viewers on average 841 minutes of viewing online, and more than 30 percent of users, an average of 77 minutes per month. Moreover, owned by Google YouTube reaches 54 percent of viewers online video according to the survey. All this bodes well for Google and its new campaign.
Last year, Google made more than $ 16B USD in ad revenue. It is choking its competitors in the ad and search engine markets. His publicity received a strong boost last year with the acquisition of DoubleClick.
However, despite epic success, Google is always hungry for a bigger piece of the pie and the search for innovative ways to do so, as evidenced by their new video ads.
