Sony announces two new Cyber-Shot digital cameras.
Sony announced a pair of new digital cameras in its line of Cyber-shot today. The two cameras are the Cyber-Shot DSC-H50 and the Cyber-Shot DSC-W300. Both of the cameras are packed with features.
The W300 is designed to withstand scratches with a coating of titanium. The thin camera also has 13.6 megapixels effective. Sony uses its power BIONZ processor features like Smile speed that activates the camera shutter when it detects a smile on people in the frame.
Other features of the W300 includes improving Face Detection and one D-Range Optimizer together with the intelligent recognition of the scene. The lens used in the W300 is a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 3x optical zoom. The camera uses 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD and ISO sensitivity up to ISO6400 and Super SteadyShot is also included.
The Cyber-Shot DSC-H50 sports 9.1 megapixel resolution with a Carl Zeiss 15x optical zoom. The main feature of the H50 is an advanced sports shooting mode, which increases the shutter speed to 1 / 4000 of a second.
Sony also uses a flash in the long distance H50 that can illuminate the subject of more than 55 feet away when using ISO 3200 and wide angle. Sony said extensive manual controls are included to allow the creativity and shooting. An image NightShot mode allows to be taken in nearly lightless conditions.
The W300 is expected in the United States in May at about $ 350, while the DSC-H50 will be available in the same period of about $ 400.
